It never fails, every walk is an unexpected adventure – from West Fresno to the Fresno Airport, and from Copper River Country club in north Fresno, to Calwa Park in the south. Mindfulness walkers express amazement at what we learn and see by walking the neighborhoods of our own city. On the first walk of year 3, see southeast Fresno neighborhoods, including Boys & Girls Club, Sequoia Middle School, Vang Pao Elementary School, Fresno’s weekend Green Space program, Calwa Park graffiti wall, and Reading and Beyond. Lori
Calwa graffiti wall was certainly the highlight of a very interesting walk. I was also glad to finally see Pao Vang elementary school, and the wonderful folks from Parks and Recreation offering fitness activities there. Lots going on! Kathryn
This was a fantastic walk. We were blessed to get to see Artists working on the Graffiti wall at Calwa Park. I stopped by Mauro Carrera’s booth to say Hi and his people were wonderful. Great job Serena! Liz
It was a great day to be walking in the sunshine and seeing the city from a more mindful lens. The Bizare Art Festival happening today was definitely an interesting find- what a great tribute. Linda
Always have a blast walking Fresno and witnessing how much change our city has gone through. Seeing all the creative minds paint their story on the longest legal graffiti wall at Calwa made this walk even more enjoyable! Pat
There was a lot of love and sense of community in Calwa today! We met Serena whose brother, Bizare, passed away 4 years ago. She organizes this cool event every year that brings family, friends and artists from all over California to honor and remember him with their art.🙏 Consider walking with the Fresno Mindfulness Walks every Saturday to tour and get to know our community; we see amazing things while walking around Fresno
😎 Great exercise! These walks are the ultimate go-see-it field trips exploring Fresno. So often we just drive by and don’t realize what’s in our community. We always see the most interesting things! Wendy
